Sophia notches career-best solo third finish at 4-under as her and younger sister, Camila, compete as individuals this weekend for South Carolina at annual fall event
WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Burnett sisters, Sophia (graduate student) and Camila (redshirted sophomore) represented No. 3 South Carolina at the Landfall Tradition over the weekend competing as individuals. Sophia had a career-best performance, finishing solo third thanks to a new career, 54-hole low score of 212 (-4).
She opened a two-shot lead on the 96-player field thru 36 holes after posting back-to-back red numbers the first two rounds. Burnett shot 68 in round one Friday and matched a career-low, 18-hole score of 67 (-5) in round two on Saturday. She shot 77 (+5) today.
Scoring was difficult in round three as just three players in the field broke par in cool, rainy conditions.

Camila made her Gamecock debut this week alongside her older sister. She finished T-80th at 18-over with scores of 75-76-83.
